Two trade fairs in three weeks, two very different audiences. At All About Process Management in Stuttgart, the room was full of process owners from industry; at Smart Country Convention in Berlin, of municipalities, federal states and civil protection. In both places we talked about the same question: what does an organization know about itself, and what of it applies when it matters?
Stuttgart: before the migration and before the emergency
At AAPM, two organizations showed what happens when they read their own documents against each other. Before moving to S/4HANA, IDT Biologika clarified what more than 100 custom developments from 27 years actually do. After 14 working days there was a basis for decisions. In a masterclass with David von der Lieth and Brigadier General (ret.) René Leitgen, the Düsseldorf Fire Service presented what its operational documents for two major sites say, and where they contradict each other.

Berlin: the fire service case on four stages
Two weeks later, the Düsseldorf Fire Service joined us at SCCON. The case ran three times on our stage in hall 25, twice with David von der Lieth in person, plus his talk on the Bitkom Green Stage. On the Yellow Stage, René Leitgen spoke about the role of the fire service for resilient municipalities. Tobias Krüger and Christopher Voigt showed how process knowledge in a state administration becomes tangible, and Dr. David Wagner of innovo consultING walked through a funding application from both sides with the funding agent.

What remains
Many conversations at the booth were less about drawing processes. People asked what happens with the knowledge that already sits in documents, systems and people's heads. The Organizational Intelligence System stands for this approach. The paper is available at ois.aiio.de.
Anyone who missed us or wants to continue a conversation will find a form on both recap pages. We will get back to you with a suggested date.
